I am a Black American portrait artist from Ypsilanti, originally from Flint, Michigan, with over 37 years of experience specializing in acrylic portraiture. My journey has spanned roles in education and community service, including work in childcare, technology, and special education, where I integrated arts to support diverse learning needs. In recent years, I have dedicated myself to creating, teaching, and preserving portraits that capture the essence of emotions of people through workshops, community murals, art installations, and live painting across the world, both in person and virtually. Observing and understanding people fuels my art, pushing me to capture authentic expressions and continually refine my craft.
